Department of Business Administration (MBA)

The department runs a full time programme of Master in Business Administration (MBA). This department works on the philosophy of honing the skills of the students to produce versatile corporate professionals. Inputs like case studies, group exercises, role plays, group-discussions, management games, simulation exercises and presentations are a regular feature in their curriculum. It focuses on results in the development of requisite leadership skill, team sprits and understanding of real life implications.

The department has its own library with over one thousand titles in various areas of Management. It contributes over 20 National and International journals and 15 business magazines. The department has a computer lab with internet facility, capable of constant development of various applications.

Apart from focusing on prescribed curriculum of the U.P.T.U., the affiliating university, the department has constant interactions with various industries of national and international repute. Experts are called, quite often to deliver seminars and to provide face-to-face interactions with students enabling them for insight into the real life market scenarios. The students often visit the centres of excellence in management to upgrade themselves about their management systems.

Teachers, often upgrade themselves by attending various seminars, Faculty Development Programmes (FDP), Workshops etc. Some of our students and staff also attended a national seminar organized by IIMT College; Meerut on 31st March, 07, The conference was on “contemporary issue in IT-e-Business”. Mr. Mohd. Imran Siddiqui, a seminar lecturer of the department presented his research paper on E-CRM. Students of the department presented their research paper on emerging technologies in IT which were appreciated by the participants.
